BIMI Missionary in Côte d’Ivoire (Ivory Coast) from 1995 - present

We are thrilled to accept Josh and Katie Pate as missionaries in the Ivory Coast. Josh has completed his training at Ambassador Baptist College and is interning in his home church. His pastor has taken an active role in their preparation for the field. Josh has visited the Ivory Coast as an intern and later with Katie to prepare for their eventual ministry there. Josh and Katie will have a tremendous church planting ministry in the 12 villages around Bingerville, Ivory Coast. Most of these villages remain untouched and in need of a missionary like Josh to evangelize and plant churches. Josh and Katie will have our complete help and cooperation in their ministry. They are coming with our full recommendation. The Ivory Coast is open to the Gospel, and Josh and Katie will have a tremendously rich ministry here for many years to come.

It is a great pleasure to recommend Josh and Katie Pate to the Ivory Coast of West Africa without any reservation. They have been members of Crossroads Baptist Church since their college days and before they were married. Currently Josh is serving a one-and-a-half year internship on our pastoral staff. Our local church has observed their growth and preparation in ministry and has proven them in the work. Their call to the Ivory Coast is unquestioned. Their value to local church ministry is immense. Their faithfulness and love to the Lord is exemplary. Honestly, it is bittersweet for us to see them go, but we understand that it is the responsibility and privilege of a New Testament local church to “give of your best to the Master.” Because of this, we are thrilled to send them to Africa and commend them to you for partnership. Prayer and finances invested in this young couple will reap the eternal rewards of souls saved and churches planted in the Ivory Coast, no question about it!

Africa Director of Baptist International Missions Inc. (BIMI)

It is my joy to introduce to you a very fine couple, Josh and Katie Pate, who have answered the Lord’s calling to give their lives to God’s service on the mission field of Côte d’Ivoire, West Africa. Having served with Baptist International Missions, Inc., for over 25 years as a church-planting missionary in Africa and now as the Africa Field Director, it thrills my heart to see God sending forth such quality servants into His harvest field as Josh and Katie! They will be working alongside veteran missionaries Bob and Becky Mach, and I know that they will be a great asset to the overall ministry there. Both Josh and Katie are experienced in the ministry and have proven themselves faithful in several areas of service. I wholeheartedly recommend them and believe they are worthy of your prayerful consideration as co-laborers and as your representatives in the country of Côte d’Ivoire, West Africa. May the Lord send forth more laborers such as Josh and Katie into His harvest field.

It is my privilege to recommend to you the Pate family as they prepare to go to Ivory Coast. From day one at ABC, Josh always displayed a strong missions focus coupled with a servant’s heart. Katie traveled with musical groups during her time as a student and was known for her cheerful disposition. I believe that God is going to use them in a great way and ask you to consider supporting both prayerfully and financially. They are worthy of your consideration!
